Louisa & Matthew’s
Love Story Unfolds at Ktima Alassos, Cyprus
Their Story
We met as teenagers, completely by chance, while working as extras on a film set in Huddersfield. I was 18, Matt was 19, neither of us were even supposed to be there originally. I’d signed up last-minute and travelled by train from Manchester and Matt was only there because his brother, who was originally the one who was meant to go, couldn’t make it. From the moment we started talking, something just clicked. We didn’t leave each other’s side and when he gave me a lift to the station at the end of the day, it already felt like more than coincidence, like fate.
We began meeting in Manchester and as our relationship grew, I passed my driving test so I could see him more easily. We even got part-time jobs together, then full-time ones, just to save up and rent our first place. Eventually, we bought our first home, became a little family with our blue British Shorthair cat and got engaged. With me being from Cyprus we both love the country so we always knew we wanted to get married there and felt in love with ktima alassos.
Two years later, we had the most magical wedding day from the beautiful ceremony to a perfect evening filled with love, dancing and joy. Practising our first dance in the kitchen every night and then pulling it off so perfectly on the night is a memory we’ll treasure forever. It’s been a journey full of love, laughter and growth, and we’re so excited for the next chapter!

Photographer’s View:
At the breathtaking Ktima Alassos wedding venue, a beautiful celebration unfolded as a sweet young couple, she, a radiant Cypriot bride and he, a charming English groom, tied the knot in a heartwarming fusion of cultures. With a touch of My Big Fat Greek Wedding flair, the day was filled with joyful heartfelt traditions and plenty of laughter (and maybe a little too much ouzo, or could have been zivania!). It was truly an unforgettable celebration of love and family and I was deeply honored to be part of such a magical and meaningful event, as their photographer, I had the privilege of documenting every amazing moment.
